BIGGEST OVERRATED ST PORTOVER OF THE YEAR:
This enviable award goes to TIERTEX for their version of
Strider. This isn't idle slagging. Here's some constructive
points.... 1.Use the whole screen.. If you must have 12
foot score boards stick it in the PAL area or summat...
2.use hardware scroll, blitter and copper... 3. Use all four
15 colour sprites for the main character (saves time, looks
very colourful, moves smoothly+doesn't waste palette colours)
4.Stop using Soundtracker 01 voices for yer tunes!
That concludes the voting from the huge panel of judges
here at B.S.S (Brehem)!
So wot will 1990 hold for us? Will Probe discover Hardware
Scroll? Will Core discover the Amigas blitter? Is there the
faintest possibility that Uncle Art will realize that his
music is crud and pack it in? Will someone write a decent
race game on the Amiga???? Only time will tell but I
certainly hope theres less hype this year than last. God!
Look at all the big craps associated with Xenon II and the
Bitmap bummers... And if yer ask me Xenon II was boring
jerky 17 frames-a-second ST tripe.. Battle Squadron Craps on
it! Oh, Well done OCEAN for writing games on the Amiga 1st!
Just dont get Peter Johnson to do any! (Dur! wots a sprite?)
